John Murphy is enthusiastic about aiding our business clients on the path to larger floor. Having retired from another financial institution after more than 30 years in the banking trade, John recently joined the Adirondack Trust Company with a need to make a difference. He is a graduate of the New England School of Banking at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, and he acquired his Bachelor of Science diploma from SUNY Plattsburgh. Understanding the importance of neighborhood involvement, John serves as a board member for the Junior Achievement of Northeastern New York, is a graduate of the Capital District Executive Institute, a board member of S.E.R.V.E of Tampa Bay, and a graduate of Leadership Tampa.
Prior to becoming a member of the World Bank Group, he labored as a Private Sector Development Consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank and as an Analyst for microfinance establishments within the Dominican Republic and France. He speaks Spanish and French.
